Is there a question about workplace investigations that has been bothering you?  Is our new virtual work environment giving you pause?  Is there a topic on your mind that would benefit from discussion with seasoned workplace investigators?  AWI has assembled a panel of experts to address whatever issues are on your mind.

During the course of this webinar, a panel of experienced workplace investigators will take AWI members’ questions.  Panelists, Lisa Bowman, Dinamary Horvath, and Judy Mims, will bring their unique perspectives and experiences as external, internal, and private workplace investigators to the issues facing AWI members today.

Lisa Bowman, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP

Lisa Bowman, AWI-CH is of counsel in the San Francisco office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP. She specializes in conducting sensitive and complex internal investigations and advising clients on California’s ever-evolving employment laws, wage and hour matters, and artificial intelligence use in the workplace. Lisa regularly conducts investigations and assists her clients in working with outside investigators. Lisa also trains workplaces of all sizes on managing within the law, conducting investigations, and complying with various employment laws. Lisa’s background as an employment litigator helps her identify issues for her clients before they become a problem. Before becoming an attorney, Lisa spent nearly a decade as a journalist for news outlets including CNET News, The Los Angeles Times, and Bloomberg News. She holds a law degree from a law degree from U.C. College of the Law (formerly Hastings), a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and an undergraduate degree from Harvard. When she is not practicing law, you can find her skiing, swimming, or cheering for her three sons at their hockey, baseball, and football games.    

Mrs Dinamary Horvath, Workplace Investigator, Maxe Law, LLC

Dinamary Horvath, AWI-CH specializes in workplace investigations, related training, consulting, and mediation. She conducts impartial investigations of employment complaints into allegations of workplace misconduct including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, violence, bullying, dishonesty, ethical and policy violations. Dina provides training and conducts impartial workplace investigations in both English and Spanish. Prior to specializing in workplace investigations, Dina litigated employment law matters with Jackson Lewis LLP, where she advised and counseled employers on a wide variety of employment law issues. Dina also served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Hartford in Connecticut and was responsible for employment matters, policy development, and litigation management. Dina obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2008 and a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Long Island University in 2002. Dina is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and Connecticut. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, a member of Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Board of Directors, as well as a certificate holder of the AWI's Training Institute for Workplace Investigators, and a Convener for the AWI New England Local Circle.
