As awareness of neurodiversity grows, so does the responsibility to ensure that workplace practices are inclusive and equitable for those who process, communicate and recall information in different ways. For neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism and dyslexia, these differences can significantly impact how they experience workplace investigations.
With up to 1 in 5 people identifying as neurodivergent, it is important for organizational leaders to understand how neurodivergence can influence traditional investigative methods, which often rely on assumptions about communication, behavior and memory. This training explains how these assumptions can unintentionally disadvantage neurodivergent individuals and create flawed outcomes.

Laura Anthony is a nationally recognized speaker, disability attorney and consultant with an extensive background in neurodiversity, inclusive leadership and dispute resolution . For over 25 years, Laura has led a neurodiverse team and helped business and organizational leaders understand the differences in how people think and communicate. As a certified mediator and investigator, Laura has also been at the forefront of neuroinclusive conflict resolution efforts, training professionals on how to implement practices that are effective, affirming and trauma-informed.
Beyond her professional experience, Laura brings a deep personal connection to her work. As the child of a parent who survived a traumatic brain injury, Laura spent her life navigating the realities of neurodiversity. This inspired her studies of psychology and brain science and fueled her interest in breaking down stigmas, improving workplace inclusion and helping leaders support and leverage the strengths of a neurodiverse workforce.

Rachel Ablin is the founder of Ablin Law, PC, a firm that specializes in providing employers with expert, professional and confidential workplace investigation solutions in the areas of harassment, discrimination, policy and employee code of conduct violations and other legal violations. Ms. Ablin has extensive employment law experience working with both employers and employees. Prior to starting Ablin Law, she worked for over 19 years as in-house employment counsel for Walgreens. She is on the Webinar Committee for the Association of Workplace Investigations.
Katrina M. Jones is the owner/solo practitioner of Collaborative Counsel Solutions, LLC located in Aurora, CO. She has dedicated her professional career to Employment Law, Mediation, and Investigations. In her practice, she has a special emphasis on discrimination and disability/accessibility matters.
