Carl Botterud, AWI-CH is a California lawyer conducting workplace and campus investigations throughout California. Carl’s clients include public and private employers, as well as institutions of higher learning. He has investigated highly complex and sensitive matters involving allegations of hazing, academic and athletic misconduct, sexual assault, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ethics violations, and abuse of power. Carl serves as an executive committee member California Lawyers Association Labor & Employment Section. He is a sustaining member of the Association of Workplace Investigators and is a faculty member at AWI’s Training Institute for Workplace Investigators. In addition to his investigation practice, Carl offers client services as a mediator, trainer, dispute resolution consultant, and student conduct/Title IX hearing officer.
