Stephen Lankton, MSW
Stephen R. Lankton, MSW, DAHB, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, author, trainer, and clinical hypnosis specialist based in Phoenix, Arizona. He studied regularly with Milton H. Erickson, MD, from 1975 to 1979 and has trained mental health professionals internationally for more than five decades. Lankton is a Life Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, a Diplomate in Clinical Hypnosis, an Emeritus Clinical Member of the International Transactional Analysis Association, and past president of the American Hypnosis Board for Clinical Social Work. He served for 20 years as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis and is now Editor-in-Chief Emeritus. He has authored, co-authored, or edited more than 20 professional books and numerous chapters and articles on psychotherapy, hypnosis, family therapy, brief therapy, and clinical social work.
