Ilona Turner

Ilona Turner, AWI-CH is a partner at Oppenheimer Investigations Group, where she provides workplace investigations, climate assessments, mediation, training, and conflict coaching in industries including tech, nonprofit, schools, and government agencies. Ilona received her J.D. from U.C. Berkeley in 2006 and litigated civil rights cases for 12 years before becoming a full-time neutral in 2018. She served as the legal director at the Transgender Law Center, a staff attorney at the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and an associate at the labor law firm of Cohen, Weiss and Simon in New York. Ilona has authored numerous articles and book chapters on conflict resolution, sex discrimination, and LGBT legal issues and teaches as an adjunct professor at U.C. Berkeley and Stanford Law School. She also serves as a Title IX hearing officer and serves on a number of mediation panels including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Ilona is a member of the bar in California and New York. She has co-presented the AWI Workplace Investigation Basics training and serves on the Editorial Board for the AWI Journal.
