Jessica is a Partner in KPMG Law’s Workplace Law group and leads the Workplace Investigations team.
Jessica is a seasoned employment and labour lawyer. After her call to the Ontario Bar, Jessica acted as labour relations counsel for a municipal police union and then a large acute-care health system. She then moved to private management-side practice at Norton Rose Fulbright as Counsel. Following this, Jessica joined Deloitte Legal to build the Employment and Labour practice.
Jessica is an experienced workplace investigator and has been involved in a large number of workplace investigations. She is an AWI Certificate Holder (AWI-CH) and has certificates from RT Institute on conducting workplace assessments and sexual harassment and violence investigations. She has provided external training on various topics related to workplace investigations including reluctant witnesses, bias, procedural fairness, and general best practices.
Jessica has appeared in hundreds of labour arbitrations and administrative law proceedings. She taught labour law at Osgoode Hall from 2012 to 2016, and labour advocacy at the University of Ottawa Law School in 2022.
Jessica is licensed to practice law in British Columbia and Ontario.
Jessica has experience in conducting a broad range of workplace investigation and assessments for federally and provincially regulated employers and organizations including public sector and private sector clients.
Some examples of the sectors Jessica has experience conducting investigations for includes: provincial Crown corporations, provincial government agencies, education sector, sports organizations, federal Crown corporations, international manufacturing organization, and international data center organization.
